Euthanasia - For and against from a legal, ethical and psychological point of view

Abstract:

Eutanazie patří v dnešní době mezi velmi diskutovaná, a především velmi kontroverzní témata. Ve své bakalářské práci se budu touto problematikou zabývat z mnoha hledisek, jelikož pouze tak jsme schopni dosáhnout komplexního pohledu a zhodnotit veškeré pro a proti. Definice eutanazie má mnoha podob a v historickém kontextu se dynamicky vyvíjela, což ve své práci nemohu opomenout, jelikož tato skutečnost má na dnešní postoj k eutanazii laické i odborné společnosti významný vliv. Velkou část věnuji právnímu systému České republiky, v němž eutanazie nadále zůstává trestním činem. Největší část mé práce bude zkoumat eutanazii především z pohledu etického, protože právě etika je pro problematiku zásadní a jde ruku v ruce s pohledem psychologickým, náboženským či filosofickým. Analytická část práce bude vypracována formou sestaveného dotazníku a bude zkoumat názor na problematiku naší laické společnosti.

Abstract:

Euthanasia is one of the most discussed and, above all, highly controversial topics. In my Bachelor Thesis I will deal with this issue from many points of view, because we are only able to reach a complex view and evaluate all for and against. The definition of euthanasia has many forms and has evolved dynamically in the historical context, which I cannot forget in my work, because this fact has a significant impact on today's attitude to the euthanasia of both lay and professional societies. A large part is devoted to the legal system of the Czech Republic, where euthanasia continues to be a criminal offense. Most of my work will examine euthanasia, especially from an ethical point of view, because ethics is crucial to the issue and goes hand in hand with a psychological, religious or philosophical view. The analytical part of the thesis will be elaborated in the form of a questionnaire and will examine the opinion on the issue of our lay society.
