Creative Industries in the Economic and Cultural Environment in Latin America with a Focus on Venezuela

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit a porovnat efektivitu kulturních a kreativních průmyslů v oblasti Latinské Ameriky a potažmo Venezuely zejména kvůli jejich rostoucímu potenciálu. Úvodní část se týká geografického a socioekonomického vymezení Venezuely, na níž je práce blíže soustředěna. Následuje rychlý přehled teorie kulturních a kreativních průmyslů, aby mohl být tento koncept následně adaptován na latinsko-americký region. Další část je věnována vybraným příkladům zemí a jejich projektům, které výrazně proměnily sociokulturní prostředí země. Druhá polovina práce je věnována kulturním a kreativním průmyslům ve Venezuele. Jsou zde vymezeny jednotlivé kategorie tohoto sektoru a kulturní orgány, které se jim věnují nebo je zaštiťují. Poslední dvě kapitoly praktické části jsou zaměřeny na aktuální situaci v rámci fenoménu kulturních a kreativních průmyslů a dění, které v současné době může změnit celé fungování venezuelského státu.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate and compare the efficiency of cultural and creative industries in Latin America and Venezuela in particular, hence its growing potential. The introductory part refers to the geographic and socio-economic definition of Venezuela, on which the work is more focused. The following part is a quick overview of the theory of cultural and creative industries, so that this concept could be subsequently adapted to the Latin American region. The next section is devoted to selected examples of countries and projects that significantly transformed the socio-cultural environment of the country. The second half of the thesis focuses on the cultural and creative industries in Venezuela. The various categories of the sector and cultural institutions that are dedicated to them or shielded are specified. The last two chapters of practical part focus on the current situation in the phenomenon of cultural and creative industries and events, which can currently change the whole functioning of the Venezuelan state.
