Wine and its Role in Czech Culinary Culture

Abstract:

TOLLINGEROVÁ, Kateřina. Víno a jeho role v české kulinářské kultuře. [Bakalářská práce] Vysoká škola hotelová. Praha: 2019. Celkový počet stran: 60 Bakalářská práce pojednává o víně a jeho roli v české kulinářské kultuře ze sociologického hlediska. V teoreticko-metodologické části je podrobně rozebrán pojem identita a následně i pojem kultura. Jsou objasněny jejich vlastnosti a teorie s nimi spojené. V neposlední řadě je v této části popsána historie vína v České republice, také jsou popsány vinařské tradice a kulturní akce. Informace v teoreticko-metodologické části jsou základním kamenem ke splnění cíle a zodpovězení výzkumné otázky. Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda víno hraje roli v české kulinářské kultuře. Výzkumnou otázkou je, jak by se vliv role vína dal v české kultuře zvýšit. Analytická část se zabývá metodikou výzkumu. Zvolena byla kvantitativní metoda formou dotazníkového šetření. Osloveno bylo 150 respondentů starších 18 let. Následně jsou sesbíraná data vyhodnocena a graficky či tabulkově zpracována. Z vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření vyplývá, že víno má svou roli v české kulinářské kultuře. Cíl bakalářské práce je tím tedy splněn. Zároveň z výsledků dotazníkového šetření vyplývají hlavní důvody, proč se dotazovaní kulturních akcí spojených s vínem neúčastní. Je to především nedostatečný program pro děti, dále slabá a nekvalitní propagace a také žádná zajímavá nabídka pro osoby preferující pivo. Díky těmto důvodům mohlo být odpovězeno na výzkumnou otázku, tedy zjištěno, jak roli vína v české kulinářské kultuře zvýšit. V návrhové části jsou navrženy možné způsoby, jak tyto informace prakticky využít.

Total number of pages: 60 The Bachelor’s Dissertation deals with theme wine and its role in Czech Culinary Culture from the sociological point of view. In the theoretical-methodological is defined term of identity and then term of culture in detail. There is explained their properties and theories associated with them. The next section describes the history of wine in the Czech Republic and the tradition of cultural events associated with wine. The information in the theoretical-methodological part is the cornerstone of the goal and the answer to the research question. The aim of this dissertation is to find out whether wine plays a role in Czech culinary culture. The research question is how this role of wine could be increased in Czech culture. The analytical part deals with research methodology. A quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire survey was chosen. 150 respondents over the age of 18 were addressed. Subsequently, the collected primary data are evaluated and graphically or tabularly processed. The evaluation of the questionnaire survey shows that wine plays a role in Czech culinary culture. The aim of this Bachelor’s Dissertation is thus fulfilled. At the same time, the results of the questionnaire survey show the main reasons why the interviewing of cultural events related to wine does not take part. Above all, it is an inadequate program for children, as well as weak and bad quality promotions, as well as no interesting offer for people who prefer beer. Thanks to these reasons, it was possible to answer the research question, how to increase the role of wine in Czech culinary culture. In the design part there are suggested possible ways how to use this information practically.
