The Execution of Monetary Policy of ECB

Abstract:

The theme of this bachelor work is "The monetary policy of the European Central Bank". The aim is to characterize the European Central Bank, the analysis of monetary instruments used to carry out its activities and also their practical application to real economic conditions over the past few years. Bachelor thesis I divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the first part, I first describe the history and evolution of monetary integration to today's look. Then I described the ECB - the various bodies and the functions, which it perform in the monetary system. Then I described the main objectives and instruments of monetary policy. In practical part I tried to analyze the execution of monetary policy of European central bank from the onset of the global financial crisis to the present. I have looked not only standard instruments used in this period, but primarily new non-standard instruments that need to be introduced in international financial markets. I described their effectiveness and impact on the functioning of the financial system in the euro area.

Abstract:

Témou tejto bakalárskej práce je „Výkon menovej politiky Európskej centrálnej banky“. Cieľom je charakteristika Európskej centrálnej banky, rozbor jednotlivých menových nástrojov, ktoré používa k výkonu svojej činnosti a taktiež ich praktické využitie v reálnych ekonomických podmienkach za posledných niekoľko rokov. Bakalárska práca ja rozdelená na dve časti – teoretickú a praktickú. V prvej časti som najskôr popísala históriu a vývoj menovej integrácie až po dnešnú podobu. Ďalej som charakterizovala ECB - jednotlivé orgány a úlohy, ktoré plní v menovom systéme. Potom som popísala hlavné ciele a nástroje menovej politiky. V praktickej časti som sa pokúsila analyzovať výkon menovej politiky Európskej centrálne banky od nástupu celosvetovej finančnej krízy až po súčasnosť. Rozobrala som nie len štandardné nástroje, ktoré v tomto období využila, ale hlavne nové neštandardné nástroje, ktoré musela zaviesť na medzinárodných finančných trhoch. Popísala som ich účinnosť a dopady na fungovanie finančného systému v rámci eurozóny.
