EU Immigration Policy’s impacts on the EU-Based Businesses

Abstract:

Ohledně dopadů imigrační politiky EU na podniky již bylo napsáno mnoho odborné literatury a ekonomických teorií. Avšak mnoho oblastí stále čeká na podrobnější prozkoumání. V tomto výzkumu proto budou poskytnuty důkazy založené na primárních i sekundárních datech, které vysvětlí dopady imigrační politiky EU na podniky. Tato studie je zahájena popisem obecného historického vývoje imigrační politiky EU v průběhu času. Hlavní faze v historii imigrace do Evropy a změny v imigrační politice EU budou zvýrazněny na základě dostupné literatury a statistik. Ekonomické teorie a diskuse autorů ohledně klíčových problémů přistěhovalecké politiky v Evropské unii budou diskutovány. Různá témata, jako je prosazování hranic, hledání azylu a politiky k získání talentů budou obsaženy v této práci. Velká pozornost bude věnována analýze dopadů současné imigrační politiky EU na společnosti v České republice a Německu s využitím kvalitativních i kvantitativních metod. Data budou získána přímo od zahraničních zaměstnanců a zástupců společností. Tato analytická část je doplněna doporučeními podnikům, jak reagovat na stěžejní otázky týkající se vysoce přetrvávajících rozdílů mezi přistěhovaleckou politikou EU a znalostmi a aplikací politiky EU ze strany společností.

Abstract:

When considering the impacts of EU immigration policies on businesses, literature and economic theories are widespread. However, various areas in this topic are waiting for further investigation. Therefore, in this research, descriptive evidence based on primary and secondary data will be provided to explain the effects of EU immigration policy on businesses. This study starts by describing the general historical development of the EU immigration policy over time. The main phases in the history of immigration to Europe and different EU immigration policy changes will be highlighted based on the available literature and statistics. Economic theories and authors debate about the critical immigration policy issues in the European Union context will be discussed. Different topics such as border enforcement, asylum-seeking, and policies to pull talents will be covered in this research. Ample attention will be paid to analyzing the impacts of the present EU immigration policy on the companies in the Czech Republic and Germany through qualitative and quantitative methods. The data will be extracted directly from foreign employees and Company’s representatives. This analytical part is supplemented by recommendations to businesses to respond to crucial questions about the highly persistent gaps between the EU immigration policies and companies' knowledge and application of these policies.
