The Art of Mediation of Art

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na oblast aktivního zprostředkování umění v českých galeriích moderního a současného umění. Přibližuje nejen samotný proces zprostředkování umění, ale především galerijní animaci a podobné interaktivní programy v galeriích. Teoretická část práce je věnována vymezení, co galerijní animace je, jaké animační postupy se nabízejí, jakých didaktických prostředků použít při tvorbě a realizaci galerijní animace pro vybranou cílovou skupinu a charakteristice galerijního lektora, který tento program připravuje a realizuje. Tuto část doplňují vlastní návrhy galerijních animací k výstavám současného moderního umění. Součástí práce je také reflexe situace aktivního zprostředkování umění v galeriích České republiky. Vlastní vhled na českou galerijní scénu je doplněn rozhovory s galerijními lektory.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the area of active art mediation in the Czech galleries of modern and contemporary art. The thesis shows not only the act of art mediation but in the first place it focuses on gallery animation and similar interactive events realised in galleries. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the definition of the term gallery animation and then it continues with explanation of what animation procedures are and what didactic devices might be used for creation and realization of gallery animation for a particular target group. It also describes the lecturer´s characteristics who prepares and realizes the own exhibition. This part of the work is supplemented by the concepts of gallery animation designed to the exhibitions of contemporary modern art. The work is constituted by the reflection of the situation in art mediation in galleries in the Czech Republic as well. The view into the Czech gallery scene is supplemented by the interviews with lecturers.
