The Literary Communication Specifics of Learners with a Different Mother Tongue in the Czech Environment

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou literární komunikace u jedinců s odlišným mateřským jazykem se zvláštním zřetelem na využití adaptované četby. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny informace o začleňování práce s literárními texty do výuky cizího jazyka, o adaptované četbě v českém prostředí a další možnosti podpory čtení u jedinců s OMJ. Praktická část nabízí vhled do procesu adaptace, a to z perspektivy samotných adaptátorek, jež se zúčastnily dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with literary communication of learners with a different mother tongue, with a special emphasis on graded readers. In theoretical part, information is presented about incorporating graded readers into foreign language teaching, greaded readers in the Czech environment and other possibilities of promoting reading in learners with a different mother tongue. The practical part then provides an insight into a process of adaptation through a prism of an author of greader readers (based on data collected from authors-subjects who took part in the survey).
