Attitudes of classmates as a factor in the successful integration of pupil with visual impairment at elementary school

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postavením žáků se zrakovým postižením ve skupině intaktních žáků. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část má tři kapitoly. První kapitola se věnuje klasifikaci postižení zraku podle medicínského hlediska. Vymezuje pojem zrakové postižení a zabývá se psychomotorickým vývojem jedince se zrakovým postižením. Kapitola druhá třídí podpůrná opatření pro žáky se zrakovým postižením a věnuje se integraci žáka se zrakovým postižením do kolektivu intaktních žáků. Také zmiňuje legislativu vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami Kapitola třetí se zabývá sociopreferenčními vztahy ve třídním kolektivu. Vymezuje pojem klima třídy, prostředí a atmosféra. Rozebírá faktory ovlivňující klima třídy a jejich dopad na třídu. Poslední kapitolou je část empirická, která popisuje výzkumné vzorky a jejich zařazení do školní třídy. Věnuje se sociogramům, které jsou slovně hodnoceny. V závěru kapitoly jsou odpovědi na hlavní výzkumné otázky. Hlavní výzkumné otázky jsou: Jaké je postavení žáka se slabozrakostí ve skupině intaktních žáků? Jaké je postavení žáka s praktickou nevidomostí ve skupině intaktních žáků? Postavení žáka se zrakovým postižením ve skupině spolužáků závisí na mnoha faktorech. Jedním z nejpodstatnějších faktorů se jeví chování daného žáka s postižením v třídním kolektivu. Bakalářská práce bude zpřístupněna na serveru Masarykovy univerzity. Výsledky práce budou mít praktický dopad na práci se skupinou školní třídy, do které je integrován žák se zrakovým postižením. Na základě výsledků výzkumu bude možno navrhnout konkrétní opatření pro práci se skupinou třídy.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis concerned with the position of pupils with visual impairment in a group of intact pupils. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part has three chapters. The first chapter is focused on the classification of visual impairment from a medical point of view. It defines the term visual impairment and psychomotor development of an individual with visual impairment. The second chapter describes supporting measures for students with visual impairment and deals with integration of pupils with visual impairment. There is also a mention about legislation concerning education of pupils with special needs. The third chapter concerned with sociopreferential relations in the class group. There are defined the terms such as class climate, environment and atmosphere. This chapter also analyzes the factors affecting school climate and their impact on the class group. The empirical part describes the research samples and their inclusion in the classroom and includes also verbal rating of sociograms. The answers to the main research questions are mentioned at the end of the last chapter. The main research question are: „What is the position of the pupil with low vision in the group of intact pupils?“ and „What is the position of the pupil with practical blindness in the group intact pupils?“ The position of the pupil with visual impairment in a group of classmates depends on many factors. One of the most important factor appears to be the behavior of the pupil with a disability in class group. This bachelor´s thesis will be made available on the website of The Masaryk University. The results will have a practical impact on the group work in the classroom, where is integrated the pupil with visual impairment. Based on the results of the research will be to propose measures to work with a class group.
