Eating habits in patients with liver cirrhosis relation towards the incidence of malnutrition

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá stravovacími zvyklostmi, výskytem a příčinou vzniku malnutrice u pacientů s jaterní cirhózou, jako možnou příčinou vzniku onemocnění a možnou příčinou negativního vlivu na vývoj a prognózu onemocnění. Nejprve popisuje anatomii a fyziologii jater a jejich změny v důsledku onemocnění. Krátce se zmiňuje o historii onemocnění, jeho epidemiologii a výskytu. V hlavní části se zabývá problémem malnutrice. Dále je zde navrhnuta nutriční intervence, která se liší případ od případu v závislosti na stadiu onemocnění a jeho komplikacích. V praktické části je použita kasuistika pacienta s jaterní cirhózou, kde jsou popsány jeho stravovací zvyklosti před a během onemocnění a kde je navrhnuta vhodná nutriční intervence.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the food habits, with incidence and causes of malnutrition in patients with liver cirrhosis as a possible cause of the disease and of a negative influence on the development and prognosis of the disease. First, it describes the anatomy and physiology of the liver and their changes in consequence of the disease. It briefly mentions the history of the disease, its epidemiology and incidence. In the main part, it addresses the problem of malnutrition. Further, a nutritional intervention is suggested which varies individually, depending on the stage of the disease and its complications. In the practical part, a case report of a patient with liver cirrhosis is provided, in which his food habits before and during the disease are described, and an appropriate nutritional intervention is suggested.
