Aspects of Foreign Direct Investment inflows in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnotit vztahy mezi přímými zahraničními investicemi a faktory, které mohou ovlivňovat jejich příliv do České republiky. Ke zpracování diplomové práce jsou využita sekundární data získaná z veřejně dostupných zdrojů a databází. První část práce se věnuje teoretickému základu přímých zahraničních investic. Druhá část se zabývá přímými zahraničními investicemi v České republice. V další části jsou uvedeny dopady přímých zahraničních investic na hostitelskou ekonomiku a následují studie, které se zabývaly determinanty přímých zahraničních investic. V poslední části práce je provedena regresní analýza přímých zahraničních investic a nezávislých proměnných, kterými je hrubý domácí produkt a daň z příjmů právnických osob. Závěrem jsou shrnuty a zhodnoceny výsledky práce včetně doporučení. Při práci jsou použity metody deskripce, komparace, modelování s využitím statistických metod, regresní a korelační analýzy a verifikace.

Abstract:

The aim of this master thesis is to evaluate the relations between foreign direct investment and factors that may affect their inflow into the Czech Republic. There are used secondary data obtained from public sources and databases to process the diploma thesis. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theoretical basis of foreign direct investment. The second part deals with foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic. The next part presents the impacts of foreign direct investment on the host economy followed by studies that deal with the determinants of foreign direct investment. In the last part of the thesis there is a regression analysis of foreign direct investment and independent variables, which is gross domestic product and corporate income tax. In the conclusion, the results of the thesis are summarized and evaluated and there are recommendations. In the thesis there are used methods of description, comparison, modelling using statistical methods, regression and correlation analysis and verification.
