Tato práce se zabývá otázkou, jaké mají akcenty vliv na poslech s porozuměním. Čínští studenti jsou zvyklí převážně na americkou angličtinu. Cílem je zjistit, jestli jsou schopni porozumět také britské angličtině a také který akcent je jim fonoesteticky bližší. The present thesis deals with the effects of accents on listening comprehension. Having been exposed mainly to American English, Chinese learners are used to the accent; the aim of the present thesis is to find out if they are capable of understanding the British accent of English, as well as to find out which accent they find more phonoaesthetically pleasing.
