Pupils awareness about eating disorders at the second grade of elementary school

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce, jak již název napovídá, je zaměřena na informovanost žáků druhého stupně základních škol o poruchách příjmu potravy, a to v různých základních školách v Jihomoravském kraji. Vzhledem k současné situaci spojené s Covidem-19, která zapříčinila uzavření veškerých škol a omezení pohybu obyvatelstva České republiky, bakalářská práce v teoretické části rozebírá i výživu během tohoto období a dopad karantény na osoby trpící poruchami příjmu potravy. Teoretická část se však zaměřuje především na význam výživy v životě dítěte a adolescenta, a shrnuje podstatné informace o poruchách příjmu potravy, které je třeba neustále opakovat. Empirická část představuje výsledky výzkumu, který zkoumal především to, zda mají žáci druhého stupně základních škol alespoň základní informace o této problematice. V dotazníku byly vedeny i otázky týkající se toho, zda má karanténa nějaký vliv na stravu žáků, jak jsou se sebou samými spokojeni a zda si myslí, že toto jejich vnímání sebe samotných nějakým způsobem karanténa ovlivnila.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis, as the name suggests, is focused on the awareness of secondary school students about eating disorders, in various primary schools in the South Moravian Region. Given the current situation associated with Covid-19, which caused the closure of all schools and restrictions on the movement of the population of the Czech Republic, the bachelor's thesis in the theoretical part discusses also the nutrition during this period and the impact of quarantine on people suffering from eating disorders. The theoretical part focuses mainly on the importance of nutrition in the life of the child and adolescent, and summarizes the essential information about eating disorders, which must be constantly repeated. The empirical part presents the results of research, which examined primarily whether secondary school students have at least basic information on this issue. The questionnaire also asked questions about whether quarantine has any effect on students' diets, how satisfied they are with themselves, and whether they think quarantine has affected this perception of themselves in any way.
