Fences and palisades in the settlement structure of early medieval Europe
Abstract:
Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá palisádovými žlaby a žlábky z velkomoravské lokality Pohansko u Břeclavi. V rámci práce proběhlo jejich zpracování a pokus o interpretaci jejich funkce. Mimo jejich fyzické vlastnosti bylo přihlédnuto ke kontextu pravěkých a raně středověkých lokalit střední Evropy.
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with palisade trenches from the Great Moravian site of Pohansko near Breclav. The thesis includes their processing and an attempt to interpret their function. Apart from their physical characteristics, the context of prehistoric and early medieval sites in Central Europe was taken into account for their interpretation.
