Concretisation of the personnel audit under the hospitality management conditions

Abstract:

This Master's Dissertation deals with personnel audit of Front Office and Food & Beverage departments in Prague accommodation facilities. The aim of the thesis is to perform a personnel audit and, based on the analysis of its results, to propose options to improve the personnel situation in selected accommodation facilities with the aim of improving the quality of services and the level of human resources in the hotel industry. I divide the thesis into three parts. In the theoretical part, I deal with general characteristics of audit and personnel audit. In the analytical part I analyze the results obtained from the questionnaire survey among employees and compare them with the requirements of managers, which I found using structured interviews. The analysis of the results showed that employees and managers mostly do not know what a personnel audit is and that they have never implemented it in companies. I found that employees lack professional qualifications, motivation and language skills. In the design part, I propose the possibility of creating company training for employees and the possibility of paying language courses and professional courses for employees. Furthermore, I propose a procedure how to recruit and how to train new employees and how the hotel management can monitor the effectiveness of business education.

Abstract:

Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá personálnym auditom oddelení Front Office a Food & Beverage v pražských ubytovacích zariadeniach. Cieľom diplomovej práce je vykonať personálny audit a na základe analýzy jeho výsledkov navrhnúť možnosti na zlepšenie personálnej situácie vo vybraných ubytovacích zariadeniach s cieľom zvýšiť kvalitu služieb a úroveň ľudských zdrojov v hotelierstve. Práca je členená do troch časti. V teoretickej časti sa venujem všeobecnej charakteristike auditu a personálneho auditu. V analytickej časti analyzujem výsledky získané z dotazníkového prieskumu medzi zamestnancami a porovnávam ich s požiadavkami manažérov, ktoré som zistila pomocou štruktúrovaných rozhovorov. Z analýzy výsledkov vyplynulo, že zamestnanci ani manažéri väčšinou nevedia, čo je to personálny audit a v podnikoch ho nikdy nerealizovali. Zistila som, že zamestnancom chýba odborná kvalifikácia, motivácia a jazykové znalosti. V návrhovej časti navrhujem možnosť vytvorenia podnikového vzdelávania pre zamestnancov a možnosť zaplatenia jazykových kurzov a odborných kurzov pre zamestnancov. Ďalej navrhujem postup pri prijímaní a školení nových zamestnancov a spôsob, akým by vedenie hotela mohlo sledovať efektívnosť podnikového vzdelávania.
