Finding out the motoric competence level of children from lower-secondary school with regular movement activities

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo stanovení úrovně motorické kompetence u dětí staršího školního věku s pravidelnou pohybovou aktivitou. Pro vypracování byla využita kompletní testová baterie Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-Second Edition (BOT-2). Tato standardizovaná testová baterie je velmi detailní, jelikož zahrnuje 53 testových položek, které mají za úkol prověřit jemnou i hrubou motoriku, a to u jedinců od 4 do 21 let. Zjištěné hodnoty se pak dále dají využít jak v pedagogice, psychologii, speciální pedagogice tak i ve zdravotnictví např. pro diagnostiku dyspraxie. Samotné testování proběhlo na ZŠ Sportovní Tanvald. Na této škole jsou děti rozděleny do sportovních a nesportovních tříd. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 20 dětí ze sportovní třídy a 20 dětí z nesportovní třídy ve věkovém rozmezí 13 až 14 let. Pro vyhodnocení výsledků byla využita normativní kritéria pro německy mluvící země (Bruininks 2005). V celkovém motorickém skóre byl zjištěn významný rozdíl mezi sportovní a nesportovní třídou, zatímco žádný žák ze sportovní třídy se neumístil hůře než v průměrné kategorii, většina jedinců z nesportovní třídy skončila v kategorii podprůměrné.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to determine the level of motor competence in children of older school age with regular physical activity. The complete test battery BruininksOseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-Second Edition (BOT-2) was used. This standardized test battery is very detailed as it includes a number of tasks to test fine and coarse motor skills of individuals between 4 and 21 years of age. The resulting values can then be used in both pedagogy and health care, e.g. for the diagnosis of dyspraxia. The testing itself took place at the Tanvald Elementary School, where children are divided into sports and non-sports classes. The research was conducted on 20 children from the sports class and 20 children from the non-sports class in the age range 13 to 14 years. Values for Germany were used to evaluate the results (Bruininks 2005). In the overall motor score, a significant difference was found between the sports and non-sports classes, while no sports-grade pupil ranked worse than the average category, most nonsports-grade individuals ended up below the average category.
