Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zhodnotit on-line nástroje k výuce anglické výslovnosti dle didaktických pravidel diskutovaných v teoretické části práce. Zde je představena metodologie výuky anglické výslovnosti, přičemž zvláštní pozornost je věnována jevům segmentální a suprasegmentální roviny. Rovněž je v této části práce zdůrazněna souvislost mezi výslovností jazyka a poslechovými dovednostmi studenta. V následující kapitole teoretické části práce je podrobněji zkoumána autonomie studenta - jedinečný styl učení spočívající v zodpovědnosti jedince za proces učení - se zaměřením na výuku výslovnosti. Praktická část bakalářské práce navazuje na poznatky uvedené v teoretické části a prakticky je využívá při analýze 4 on-line nástrojů k výuce anglické výslovnosti. Výsledky této analýzy byly zaznamenány do přehledných tabulek a následně z nich vytvořený manuál shrnující výsledky tohoto výzkumu uzavírá tuto bakalářskou práci.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to provide evaluation of the online tools for teaching/learning pronunciation according to the principles set in the theoretical part. The theoretical background provides basis for the evaluation. In the theoretical part, methodology established for pronunciation teaching is discussed with attention to segmental and suprasegmental features of English pronunciation and the relationship between pronunciation and listening skills is emphasized. In the following chapter, learner autonomy is being paid attention to, and two fundamental approaches to learning pronunciation of the language are studied. The other part of the thesis, the practical part, employs the information settled in the preceeding part by evaluating and assessing the 4 online tools for pronunciation teaching. The results of the research were put into organized charts and a manual representing those outcomes concludes the thesis.
