The impact of project management on workers emotional health during a crisis

Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá vliv projektového řízení na emoční zdraví pracovníků během krize. Cílem práce je ověřit, do jaké míry ovlivňuje konkrétní styl projektového řízení úroveň emočního vyčerpání pracovníků. Zároveň je zkoumáno, zdali pomocí agilních praktik lze snížit negativní dopady projektového řízení na emoční zdraví pracovníků. Teoretická část práce vymezuje klíčové pojmy, které souvisí s projektovým řízením, krizí nebo emočním zdravím a jsou stěžejní pro empirickou část práce. V rámci ověření cílů práce byly stanoveny tři předpoklady, které jsou ověřovány prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu. Závěrem jsou z nabytých poznatků formulována doporučení pro efektivní řízení projektů během krize s pozitivním dopadem na emoční zdraví pracovníků.

Abstract:

This paper examines the impact of project management on the emotional health of workers during a crisis. The aim of this thesis is to test the extent to which a particular project management style affects the level of emotional exhaustion of workers. It also examines whether using agile practices can reduce the negative effects of project management on workers' emotional health. The theoretical part of the thesis defines key concepts that are related to project management, crisis or emotional health and are key for the empirical part of the thesis. In order to verify the objectives of the thesis, three assumptions were set and tested through a qualitative research. Finally, recommendations for effective project management during a crisis with a positive impact on the emotional health of employees are formulated from the findings.
