E-learning course Architecture of computers and basics of OS in the Moodle environment

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je popis tvorby a průběhu výuky e-learningového kurzu "Architektura počítačů a základy OS" v prostředí Moodle, který byl představen studentům Ostravské univerzity. Výukový kurz obsahuje deset samostatných výukových celků, které na sebe tematicky plynule navazují. Každý celek je mimo jiné doplněn o korespondenční úlohy a testy, které jsou společně s dotazníkem součástí závěrečné evaluace kurzu, a zároveň také podkladem pro nutné úpravy za účelem dalšího využití kurzu ve výuce. K závěrečné zkoušce byli připuštěni ti studenti, kteří úspěšně absolvovali závěrečný test, a zároveň vypracovali vybranou seminární práci z nabízených témat. Výukový kurz se nachází na webové adrese http://moodle.osu.cz/. Kurz byl následně implementován do výuky v zimním semestru akademického roku 2016/2017. Výuku absolvovalo 12 studentů Ostravské univerzity studujících na Pedagogické fakultě.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the creation of the "Computer architecture and basics of OS" e-learning course in the Moodle system and the presentation of the course to the students from the University of Ostrava. The educational course includes ten individual educational units which thematically follow the educational structure. Each unit is also complemented by corresponding tasks and tests which, together with a questionnaire, are a part of the final evaluation of the course. They also represent essential materials for requisite adjustment of the next application of the course in lessons. Only students who successfully passed the final exam and who also wrote a seminar work on one of the proposed topics were admitted to the final examination. The educational course can be found at the address http://moodle.osu.cz/. The course was subsequently implemented in lessons of the winter semester of 2016/2017. The lessons were participated in by 12 students from the University of Ostrava studying at the Faculty of Education.
