The Insurance Broker and his Importance for the Policy Holder and the Insurer

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá činností pojišťovacích makléřů a organizací makléřských společností. Po úvodu následuje stručná historie pojišťovnictví a pojišťovacích makléřů, na které navazuje stručný popis pojistného trhu a souvisejících důležitých pojmů. V závěru první části práce charakterizuji pojišťovací zprostředkovatele a makléře, především jejich povinnosti a činnosti, které vycházejí ze zákona. Druhá část práce je věnována organizaci makléřských společností, kde srovnávám velké a malé makléřské společnosti. Hlavní část práce tvoří popis činnosti pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů v praxi.

Abstract:

Bachelor´s thesis deals with the activities of insurance brokers and brokerage houses organisations. The introduction is followed by the brief history of the insurance industry, insurance brokers business and concise description of the insurance market and connecting fundamental concepts. The end of the first part contains the work of the insurance intermediaries and brokers and their duties and activities based on the legislation. The second part of the work is devoted to the organisation of brokerage houses, where I compare large and small brokerage company. The fundamental part of the thesis consists of a description of the activities of insurance intermediaries in practice.
