Inclusive education at primary school from the perspective of assistants of teachers

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá inkluzivním vzděláváním na základní škole a pracovní pozicí asistenta pedagoga s ním spojenou. Práce je teoreticko-empirická a jedná se o kvalitativní výzkum. Cílem práce je zjistit dobrou praxi a slabá místa práce asistenta pedagoga. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na rovné příležitosti ve vzdělávání, historii a koncept inkluzivního vzdělávání, žáky se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, podpůrná opatření, na závěr asistenty pedagoga. Empirická část zahrnuje metodologii a výsledky výzkumu. Výzkum byl proveden za pomoci polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s asistenty pedagoga. Empirická část je zaměřena především na asistenty pedagoga, jejich náplň práce a spolupráci s pedagogy, dále na dopady, které má inkluzivní vzdělávání na žáka se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a jeho spolužáky, samotnou inkluzi a její fungování.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on inclusive education in a primary school and on a job position of a teacher's assistant connected with it. The thesis is theoretical-empirical and it is in a form of a qualitative research. The aim of this thesis is to find out a good praxis and weaknesses of teacher's assistant's work. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on equal opportunities in education, history and concept of the inclusive education, pupils with special education needs, support measures, and finally teacher's assistants. The empiric part consists of methodology and research results. The research was done by half-structured interviews with teacher's assistants. The empiric part is focused primarily on teacher's assistants, their job description and cooperation with the teachers, further off on impacts that the inclusive education has on a pupil with special educational needs and their classmates, the inclusion itself and its functioning.
