Analysis of Human Resources activities with a focus on recruitment, selection and adaptation of employees in the organization

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá personálními činnostmi - náborem, výběrem a adaptací v konkrétní pojišťovací společnosti. Pozornost je přitom zaměřena na obchodní zástupce, jejichž pracovní vztah k organizaci je díky vykonávání práce na živnostenský list v mnoha ohledech značně specifický. Obsah textu je možné rozčlenit do tří základních částí. První z nich je část teoretická, ve které jsou zmíněné druhy personálních činností podrobeny detailnímu rozboru. Po tomto oddílu následuje část metodologická. V jejím rámci dochází mimo jiné ke stanovení strategie výzkumu. Jako nejvhodnější byl kvůli možnosti hloubkové analýzy shledán kvalitativní přístup. Ke sběru dat je pak využívána kombinace analýzy oficiálních (externích i interních) dokumentů společnosti (metoda obsahové analýzy) a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s personalistou organizace, manažery a obchodními zástupci. Především je ovšem v metodologické části provedena operacionalizace teoretických konceptů a jsou určeny vedlejší výzkumné otázky, hlavní výzkumná otázka a cíl práce. Cílem práce je dosáhnout zjištění, jakým způsobem je v dané organizaci prováděn nábor, výběr a adaptace zaměstnanců, rozpoznat, jaké jsou případné slabé stránky organizace v těchto personálních činnostech a identifikovat případné limity či příležitosti v procesu získávání zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

This final thesis deals with personal activities - recruitment, selection and adaptation in a particular insurance company. The attention is focused on the business representatives whose working relationship with the organization is quite specific in many respects thanks to performing work on a business licence. The content of the text can be divided into three basic parts. The first one is theoretical, in which those types of personal activities are subjected to detailed analysis. This section is followed by the methodological part in which a research strategy is established among other things, from which qualitative approach was found the most appropriate one thanks to the option of depth analysis. To collect data, a combination of analysis of official company documents, both external and internal (content analysis), and semi-structured interviews with a personnel manager of the organization, managers and sales representatives is used. Above all, operationalization of theoretical concepts is made in methodological part, and research questions, the main research question and the objective of the work are defined.The aim of the work is to determine how the recruitment, selection and adaptation of employees is carried out in the organization, to recognize weaknesses of the organization in these personal activities and identify any limitations or opportunities in the recruitment process.
