Insurance broker - present and expected role on the insurance market

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je pojišťovací makléř a jeho postavení či spíše role na pojistném trhu. Smyslem pojišťovnictví je ochrana před negativními důsledky realizace rizik. Klienti pojistitelů nejsou schopni na pojistném trhu sami pro sebe získat optimální ochranu. Pomocníkem a průvodcem, který jim to umožní či má umožnit, je pojišťovací makléř. Díky jeho dobré práci se zvyšuje nejen prospěch klienta, ale vzrůstá kvalita celého odvětví pojišťovnictví. Pozitivnímu vývoji pojišťovacího makléřství a tím pojišťovnictví lze napomáhat podporou vzdělávání makléřů, stabilizací legislativy - „pravidel hry“ a hledáním způsobů, jak navázat odměňování makléře na jeho přínos pro klienty.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is insurance broker and his position or more exactly his role on the insurance market. The purpose of insurance industry is protection from negative impacts of realization of risks. Clients of insurers are not able to gain for themselves optimal protection on the insurance market. It is the insurance broker as their assistant and guide, who enables or should enable them to do so. Thanks to his good work not only the benefit of the client increases, but also the quality of the whole insurance industry grows. Positive development of the insurance broking and in consequence insurance industry can be helped by means of support of broker education, stabilization of legislation - “game rules” and finding ways of broker remuneration based on increase of the benefit for their clients.
