Sources of stress of police officers

Abstract:

V diplomové práci byla zkoumána problematika stresu policistů v souvislosti se současnou nepříznivou situací u Policie České Republiky. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením základních pojmů vztahujících se ke stresu, jeho příčinami a důsledky, dále pracovního stresu a specifikám policejní profese. Praktická část je zaměřena na to, jak nepříznivou situaci u PČR vnímají sami policisté, zda je pro ně zdrojem stresu či pracovní nespokojenosti. Zkoumáno bylo také to, zda a jaký vliv mají nové pracovní podmínky na pracovní motivaci a výkon. Základní metodou při provádění výzkumu byl rozhovor.

Abstract:

In the thesis it was investigated the issue of stress perceived by police officers related to unfavorable situation at the Police of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts of stress, its causes, types, symptoms and as well as work-related stress and the specifics of the police profession. The practical part deals with an issue how officers themselves perceive the unfavorable situation in the Police whether it is for them a source of stress and job dissatisfaction. It was also examined whether and how much effect the new working conditions work motivation and performance of officers. As the research method was used an interview.
