Individual integration of pupils with physical disability into primary schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na problematiku individuální integrace žáků s tělesným postižením do běžné základní školy v Praze a je rozdělena do 4 kapitol. Teoretická část specifikuje tělesné postižení, zaměřuje se zejména na dětskou mozkovou obrnu (nově mozkovou obrnu) a spinální svalovou atrofii, analyzuje legislativu, rozebírá možnosti vzdělávání žáků s tělesným postižením a blíže vymezuje pojmy integrace a inkluze. Další kapitoly jsou empirické. Třetí kapitola analyzuje proces integrace u dvou žáků a jejich postup a vývoj v průběhu školní docházky. Ve čtvrté kapitole jsou analyzovány postoje pedagogických pracovníků k problematice integrace, podmínky integrace žáků s tělesným postižením a připravenost škol na integraci žáků s postižením.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on issues of an individual integration of the pupils with physical disability into mainstream school in Prague and it is divided into four chapters. The theoretical part specifies physical disability, focuses especially on children cerebral palsy (newly cerebral palsy) and spinal muscular atrophy, analyses the legislation, looks into , possibilities of education of the pupils with physical disability and in more detail delimitates the terms integration and inclusion. Other chapters are empirical. The third chapter analyses the process of integration of two pupils and their progress and development during their school attendance. The fourth chapter analyses the stands of teachers on the problem of integration, the conditions for the integration of pupils with physical disabilities and the readiness of mainstream schools to integrate pupils with physical disabilities.
