The metamorphosis of museums (The transformation of museums in connection to the status of collections and the external appearance with examples from Slovakia)

Abstract:

The subject of Master Degree are the changes in the field of the museum which influence and shape their form. The work focuses on selected aspects that have an impact on the development and direction of museums and museums in Slovakia. The content of the work shall include the description and approaches of museums, museum facilities and other entities whose characteristics are derived from the museum enviroment. The work captures, on specific point and in selected examples, what activeties and activities reflect contemporary cultural and social developments in the museums.This is particularly so in terms of the ability to compete and modern forms of making available the space and content that is the collection fund. The subtitle of the work refers to chapters dealing with the description of new museum units and othet museums in similar forms. These especially in the last decade, have changed the way societies view museums and their forms.

Abstract:

Témou magisterskej diplomovej práce sú zmeny v múzejnej sfére, ktoré ovplyvňujú a formujú ich podobu. Práca venuje pozornosť vybraným aspektom, ktoré majú vplyv na vývoj a smerovanie múzeí a múzejníctva na Slovensku. Obsahom práce je popis a prístupy múzeí, múzejných zariadení a ďalších subjektov, ktorých znaky z múzejného prostredia vychádzajú. Práca zachytáva v konkrétnych bodoch a na vybraných príkladoch, akými činnosťami a aktivitami reflektujú múzeá súčasný kultúrny a spoločenský vývoj. A to predovšetkým z hľadiska schopnosti konkurencie a moderných podôb sprístupňovania priestoru a obsahu, ktorým je zbierkový fond. Podtitul práce odkazuje na kapitoly, ktoré sa venujú popisu nových múzejných jednotiek a iným múzeám podobných foriem. Tie najmä v poslednom desaťročí zmenili pohľad spoločnosti na múzeá a ich podoby.
