Integration and assimilation of immigrants from Vietnam during the two generations.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na život vietnamských imigrantů v České republice a možnost jejich integrace a jejich zájem o integraci. Poukazuje na rozdílnost jazyka, kulturních zvyklostí i celého životního stylu obou národů. Zároveň se zabývá přístupem Čechů k těmto přistěhovalcům. Praktická část je založena na průzkumu mezi příslušníky obou etnik a zdůrazňuje rozdílnou schopnost integrace u přistěhovalců a jejich dětí narozených v ČR i rozdílný přístup majority k vietnamským imigrantům.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the life of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic and the possibility of their integration and their interest in the integration. It points to the diversity of language, cultural practices and the whole lifestyle of both nations. It also deals with stance Czech people to those immigrants. The research is based on a survey among members of both ethnic groups and emphasizes the ability to integrate different for immigrants and their children born in the Czech Republic and a different approach to the majority Vietnamese immigrants.
