Analysis of financial module of ERP software in use

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analýza finančního modulu ERP softwaru Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 v praxi. Využitím zkušeností z praxe a průzkumů mezi uživateli zkoumá fungování programu v existující firmě a analyzuje funkcionalitu jeho finančního modulu. Po úvodu následuje kapitola, která popisuje obecně ERP softwary, jejich historii a vývoj. Třetí kapitola popisuje implementaci softwaru ve sledované firmě, aplikační architekturu firmy a seznamuje s implementovanými moduly Axapty. Čtvrtá kapitola začíná zkoumat využití finančního modulu Axapty ve firmě průzkumem mezi jejími uživateli. Pátá kapitola pak rozebírá jednotlivé zjištěné problémy a omezení. Šestá kapitola hledá řešení problémů uvedených v páté kapitole a možná vylepšení finančního modulu Axapty. Závěr shrnuje celou práci a hodnotí využití a funkcionalitu finančního modulu Axapty ve firmě.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze financial module of ERP software Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 in use. With working experience and question survey among the users it's exploring functionality of the program in an existing company and analyzes functionality of it's financial module. After first introductory chapter follows chapter which describes ERP softwares in general, their history and development. The third chapter describes software implementation, application architecture of the company and implemented Axapta modules. The fourth chapter begins to examine the usage of Axapta financial module with question survey among it's users in the company. Then the fifth chapter discusses the existing problems and limitations. The sixth chapter is looking for solutions of problems from fifth chapter and for possible improvements of the Axapta financial module. Conclusion is summarizing all the thesis and evaluating the usage and functionality of Axapta financial module in the company.
