Attractiveness of the Postal and courier industry

Abstract:

Krpálek, M. Atraktivita odvětví Poštovní a kurýrní činnosti. Diplomová práce. Br-no: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2024. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení atraktivity odvětví Poštovní a kurýrní činnosti a následně také návrhy pro stávající podniky a nově vstupující subjekty na trh. Práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části, teoretickou část a vlastní práci. Teoretická část je zhotovena na základě teoretických poznatků a čerpá z odborné literatury. Ve vlastní části práce je představeno odvětví, následně je popsáno vnější prostředí, konkrétně je provedena analýza PESTE a Porterův mo-del 5 hybných sil. Ze zmíněných analýz jsou identifikovány příležitosti a hrozby. Následně je vytvořena skupinová strategická analýza a je využito nástrojů použí-vaných při analýze vnějšího prostředí, konkrétně matice EFE, GE a SPACE. Na zá-kladě zmíněných pomocných nástrojů jsou vytvořena doporučení jak pro stávající podniky působící na trhu, tak pro nově vstoupivší na trh.

Krpálek, M. Attractiveness of the Postal and courier industry. Master thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2024. The thesis focuses on the evaluation of the attractiveness of the postal and courier sector and subsequently on suggestions for existing companies and new entrants to the market. The thesis is divided into two main parts, the theoretical part and the actual work. The theoretical part is based on theoretical knowledge and draws on the literature. In the actual part of the thesis, the industry is intro-duced, followed by the external environment, specifically the PESTE analysis and Porter´s 5 driving forces model. From these analyses, opportunities and threats are identified. Subsequently, a group strategic analysis is created, and the tools used in the analysis of the external environment are used, namely EFE, GE and SPACE matrices. On the basis of the above-mentioned tools, recommendations are made for both existing companies operating in the market and for new entrants.
