Commented Translation of a passage of technical text

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the translation and subsequent analysis of a professional text. The text used for this analysis is a part of publication of Réparation et entretien des véhicules automobiles, which is dedicated to an area of car repair shop and specific tasks performed there. The master thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part presents the text and the selected parts for translation. The second part focuses on the translation itself. The third part is a theoretical part of the thesis, which analyses the content, composition, linguistic and stylistic specifications of the text. The last part discusses of the translation commentary itself, which consists of a detailed terminological analysis and includes the methods which have been used to choose appropriate equivalents in the target language. In the conclusion of this thesis is included French-Czech glossary with key terms from the selected text.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá překladem technického textu a následnou analýzou tohoto odborného textu. Výchozím textem je část publikace Réparation et entretien des véhicules automobiles, která je zaměřena na oblast servisní dílny a různé specifické práce v ní. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do čtyř základních částí. První část je zaměřena na prezentaci výchozího textu a vybraných částí k překladu. Druhá část se věnuje samotnému překladu. Třetí část je teoretická stránka práce, která se zabývá obsahovými, kompozičními, lingvistickými a stylistickými specifiky výchozího textu. Poslední část tvoří samotný komentář překladu, který je tvořen podrobnou terminologickou analýzou, a jsou zde také uvedeny postupy, jejichž pomocí byly vybrány vhodné ekvivalenty v cílovém jazyce. V závěru této diplomové práce je připojený francouzsko-český glosář s klíčovými termíny výchozího textu.
