Gender Equality and Task of Social Pedagogy

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem mé diplomové práce je analýza současného stavu dělby rolí v rodině s malými dětmi a vztahů mezi rodinou a zaměstnáním, ve specifickém období životního cyklu žen, tj. při jejich návratu z rodičovské dovolené na pracovní trh. V této souvislosti se dostává do popředí otázka genderové rovnosti. Ženy ani muži by neměli být na základě příslušnosti k pohlaví diskriminováni. Mají mít možnost volby vlastní životní strategie, ať se jedná o uplatnění ve sféře veřejné nebo soukromé. Rovnost mužů a žen ve společnosti je měřítkem úrovně dosaženého stupně demokracie a jednou z priorit EU, prosazovaných prostřednictvím strategie gender mainstreaming. Významnou organizací, která se u nás orientuje na vztahy a postavení žen a mužů ve společnosti, zejména v oblasti rovných příležitostí obou pohlaví na trhu práce, je nevládní nezisková organizace Gender Studies o.p.s., jejímž cílem je šířit informovanost o genderové tématice a prostřednictvím specifických projektů iniciovat změny, týkající se rovných příležitostí v různých oblastech života společnosti.

Abstract:

The main aim of my thesis is to analyze the current state of the division of roles in a family with young children and the relationship between family and work, in a specific period of the life cycle of women, ie their return from parental leave to the labor market. In this context, coming to the fore the issue of gender equality. Women nor men should not be based on sex discrimination. They have a choice of their own life strategies, whether the application in the sphere of public or private. Equality between men and women in society is a measure of degree of attainment of democracy and one of EU priorities, pursued through a strategy of gender mainstreaming. An important organization in our country and focuses on relationships between men and women in society, particularly in the area of equal opportunities for both sexes in the labor market is a non-profit organization Gender Studies, which aims to promote awareness of the gender theme through specific projects and to initiate changes relating to equal opportunities in various areas of life.
