Tato práce se zabývá kultem Mao Zedonga a kultem čínských císařů dynastie Qing a jejich místem v čínské náboženské tradici. Snaží se odpovědět na jednu otázku: Bylo Maovo sociální a kultické postavení v čínské kultuře výjimečné (zejména kvůli jeho ideologickému pozadí jako komunistického vůdce), nebo byl Mao jen možná trochu jiný, ale přesto pouze jako jeden z mnoha císařů před ním? This thesis is about Mao Zedong's cult and about cults of Chinese emperors of Qing dynasty and its respective position in a Chinese religious tradition.
