Virtual and augmented reality as a tool for company progress

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na nástroje čtvrté průmyslové revoluce, konkrétně na virtuální a rozšířenou realitu, a jejich implementaci do průmyslu. Cílem práce je popsat projektové plány a přínosy virtuálního tréninku pro firmu i autora. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá managementem inovací, managementem projektů a charakterizací průmyslových revolucí, přičemž největší důraz je kladen na čtvrtou průmyslovou revoluci a nástroje průmyslu 4.0, virtuální a rozšířenou realitu. Praktická část se zabývá charakteristikou virtuální reality v průmyslu, popisem vybraného projektu a jeho vývoje, definicí využívaného hardwaru a softwaru a cost benefit analýzou projektu. Závěr práce zahrnuje shrnutí výsledků a doporučení na základě získaných zkušeností.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the tools of the fourth industrial revolution, specifically virtual and augmented reality, and their implementation in industry. The aim of the thesis is to describe the project plans and the benefits of virtual training for the company and the author. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with innovation management, project management and the characterization of industrial revolutions, with the greatest emphasis on the fourth industrial revolution and the tools of Industry 4.0, virtual and augmented reality. The practical part deals with the characteristics of virtual reality in industry, description of the selected project and its development, definition of the hardware and software used and cost benefit analysis of the project. The conclusion of the thesis includes a summary of the results and recommendations based on the experience gained.
