Assessing the creditworthiness of the client

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaobírá problematikou hodnocení bonity klienta, což znamená schopnost klienta řádně a včas splatit veškeré své závazky vůči bankám a případně i jiným finančním institucím. Hlavním cílem této práce je teoretické zpracování metod sloužících ke stanovení bonity žadatele o úvěr a demonstrace čtenáři jejich užití na příkladu českých bank. Teoretická část je zaměřena na pochopení všech souvislostí, které se týkají úvěrového rizika a činností pro jeho řízení. V následující kapitole je udělán přehled hlavních metod, kterými banky vyhodnocují úvěruschopnost svých klientů. Praktická část uvádí metody, kterými se vybrané banky působící v českém bankovním systému snaží poznat svého klienta a tím minimalizovat míru rizika s ním spojenou.

Abstract:

This thesis is concerned with problems related to the client's creditworthiness, which means the client's ability to pay off all his debts to banks and other financial institutions properly and on time. The main object of this thesis is a theoretical processing of methods used to determine the creditworthiness of the loan applicant and the demonstration of their application on the example of Czech banks to the reader. The theoretical part is focused on understanding all the details, which are related to the credit risk and activities used to manage it. The next chapter has the summary of the main methods, which banks usually use to evaluate clients' creditworthiness's. The practical part presents methods, which selected banks operating in the Czech banking sector use to identify their client and to minimize the extent of risk, which is connected with the client.
