Influence of financial motivation on performances in sports clubs

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zjištění, zda existuje vztah mezi finanční motivací ve formě fixní složky platového ohodnocení či výkonnostních bonusů a pokut a úrovní týmového a individuálního výkonu v prostředí profesionálního fotbalu. Finanční motivace, respektiveobecně platy profesionálních fotbalistů jsou díky neustálému růstu často diskutovanou problematikou. Tato práce přináší zjištění, zda mají platy skutečně své opodstatnění z hlediska předváděných výkonů, ať už celého týmu či jednotlivých hráčů. Práce byla založena na sběru dat týkajících se finanční motivace a ukazatelů úrovně výkonu ve fotbale. Na základě dosavadních výzkumů v oblasti finanční motivace ve fotbale byly vyjádřeny hypotézy, které byly následně testovány analytickými nástroji MS EXCEL. Z výsledků je patrné, že ne všechny aspekty, ať už týmového či individuálního výkonu, lze ovlivnit výší finanční motivace.

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to find out whether there is a relationship between financial motivation in the form of a fixed salary component or performance bonuses and fines and the level of team and individual performance in a professional football environment. Financial motivation, or generally the salaries of professional footballers, are due to constant growth frequently discussed issues. This work shows whether salaries really have their justification in terms of performance, whether the whole team or individual players. The work was based on collecting data on financial motivation and football performance indicators. Based on current research in the field of financial motivation in football, hypotheses were expressed which were subsequently tested by analytical tools of MS EXCEL. The results show that not all aspects, whether team or individual performance can be influenced by the level of financial motivation.
