Vitalism and Holism
Abstract:
Předmětem bakalářské práce je srovnání dvou filosofických směrů, vitalismu a holismu. Jejich hlavními představiteli jsou u vitalismu Henri Bergson (především s dílem Vývoj tvořivý) a u holismu Jan Christiaan Smuts (s knihou Holismus a evoluce). V práci jsou podrobně rozebrány a srovnány myšlenky obou těchto představitelů, přičemž důraz je kladen na aspekty, jimiž se jejich filosofie podobají.
Abstract:
The main aim of my bachelor thesis is to compare two philosophical tendencies – vitalism and holism. The main representative of vitalism is Henri Bergson (mainly because of his work called Vývoj tvořivý), the main representative of holism is Jan Christiaan Smuts (due to his book Holism and Evolution).
