Evaluation of implementation slipsheets at Philip Morris ČR, a.s

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou využití bezpaletové technologie pro přepravu hotové produkce společnosti Philip Morris ČR. a.s.. Cílem práce je vyhodnotit, zda by zavedení této technologie přineslo úspory a posoudit i ostatní primárně nefinanční kritéria. Práce je striktně rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou popsány základní fakta, která nám zdůvodňují, proč by se firmy měly zamyslet nad hledáním alternativ k dřevěným paletám. V praktické části nejprve představuji společnost, začlenění oddělení Supply Chain do organizace a popisem materiálového toku. Jádrem praktické části je analýza a kalkulace jak finančních tak nefinančních faktorů. Analýza je prováděna na jednom konkrétním trhu a je vypočtena zvlášť pro produkt cigarety a pro ostatní tabákové výrobky. Na konci práce shrnuji výsledky a navrhuji opatření vedoucí k bezproblémové implementaci slipsheetů.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate whether the palletless technology is beneficial or not for one specific company, Philip Morris ČR, a.s. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part should help with better understanding of reasons for finding alternatives to wooden pallets. The practical part begins with an introduction of the company and an integration of Supply Chain Department into the organization. I continue with the description of material flows. The core of the practical part is the calculation of costs and savings which is done for cigarettes and other tobacco products separately. At the end of the thesis, I summarize results and describe measures, which must be done, before potential implementation.
