The prison treatment program of the eyes of professional staff of Prison Kuřim

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Program zacházení očima odborných pracovníků Věznice Kuřim“ si klade za cíl zjistit, jak vnímají odborní pracovníci kuřimské věznice možnosti a meze programu zacházení realizovaného v jejich zařízení. Teoretická část práce začíná charakteristikou základních pojmů. Následuje popis historického vývoje vězeňství na našem území a humanizace českého vězeňství. Dále se zabývám Vězeňskou službou České republiky a její organizační strukturou, právní úpravou výkonu trestu a programem zacházení jako nástrojem pro nápravu odsouzených. Poslední kapitola je věnována Věznici Kuřim a tamnímu programu zacházení. Ve výzkumné části nejdříve charakterizuji použitou metodu sběru dat, kterou je polostrukturovaný rozhovor, vymezuji výzkumný vzorek a popisuji metodu analýzy dat – zakotvenou teorii. Dále se věnuji samotným výsledkům analýzy. Závěr výzkumné části tvoří shrnutí výsledků, jež analýza přinesla.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis entitled "The prison treatment program of the eyes of professional staff of Prison Kuřim" aims to find out how they perceive possibilities and limits of the prison treatment program implemented in Prison Kuřim. The theoretical part of the thesis begins with basic concepts characteristic. The following is a description of the historical development of prisons in our country and the humanization of the Czech prison system. Furthermore, the deal with the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and its organizational structure, rules of sentence and treatment program as a tool to remedy the prisoners. The last chapter is devoted to Prison Kuřim and it’s prison treatment program. In the first part of the research method used characterize the collection of data, which is semi-interview, the researcher defines the sample and describes the method of data analysis - grounded theory. Then we look at the actual results of the analysis. Conclusion the research forms part of a summary of the results, that analysis brought.
