Cílem této práce je analyzovat překlad z hlediska stylu a kultury a zodpovědět otázky, jako například jak se překladateli podařilo zprostředkovat českou kulturu zahraničním čtenářům, jaké strategie byly při překladu použity a jak se povedlo napodobit styl originálu. This master’s thesis deals with the English translation of Irena Dousková’s novel Hrdý Budžes. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the translation from the viewpoint of style and culture.
