Optimizing stock of spare parts

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je seznámení se skladováním náhradních dílů a využití nástrojů pro optimalizaci skladových zásob náhradních dílů. Optimalizací je brána v tomto případě segmentace náhradních dílů a poté využití nástrojů na již roztříděné náhradní díly do skupin, které pomohou zjistit optimální hodnoty a predikci zásob náhradních dílů ve skladu. Teoretická část je zaměřena na seznámení s obecnými informacemi o skladovém managementu, náhradních dílech a metodách segmentace spolu s nástroji, které je možné využít k optimalizaci skladových zásob náhradních dílů. Praktická část se věnuje konkrétním postupům a metodám, které vycházejí z teoretické části, a jsou již aplikovány na konkrétní reálná data. Pomocí těchto procesů jsou k dispozici data, která umožňují skladu náhradních dílů údržby optimalizovat zásoby, a tak zefektivnit management skladování náhradních dílů ve společnosti Drylock Technologies s.r.o. Výsledkem jsou data a doporučení, která jsou schopna optimalizovat jednotlivé náhradní díly, pomohou do budoucna s optimalizacemi a umožní korekci nastavení minimálních hodnot hladin položek náhradních dílů ve skladovém systému. Tím lze zajistit více skladovacího prostoru a snížení nákladů spojených s náhradními díly.

Abstract:

The objective of this bachelor thesis is introduction to spare parts warehouse management and usage of tools for optimization of stock spare parts. In this case the optimization is segmentation of spare parts, and then use of methods for categorized spare parts These methods help find the right value and prediction of spare parts stock in the warehouse. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on presentation of global information about spare parts management, of segmentation methods and of tools which can be used for the optimization of stock items in spare parts warehouse. The practical part deals with specific procedures and methods, which are mentioned in the theoretical part and are applied on real data. Thanks to these processes the data is available for the optimization of stock items and more effective warehouse management of spare parts in the company named Drylock Technologies s.r.o. As the result there are data and suggestions which enable the spare part to be optimized. In the future they will also help the optimization of every single spare part and they will allow adjustment setting of minimal and maximal levels of spare parts in warehouse system. This can ensure more room in the warehouse and reduce costs of spare parts.
