School excursion as a chance for the development of an intercultural competence

Abstract:

Bachelor´s thesis deals with the possibilities of utilization of a school trip, or an excursion, in the teaching of the German language and for the development of an intercultural competence of pupils. The thesis is divided into several parts. In the first, theoretical part are mentioned some methods of teaching foreign languages, an intercultural approach and the development of an intercultural competence, German cultural studies, also a school trip or an excursion as possibilities of teaching foreign language and last but not least, even the Holocaust and Auschwitz concentration camp. The second, practical part is devoted to the research, which is focused on knowledge and attitudes of pupils, which they assume to this field, and the subsequent comparison how these knowledge and attitudes of pupils changed after the school trip and excursion in Auschwitz.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi využití školního výletu, popřípadě exkurze, ve výuce německého jazyka a pro rozvoj interkulturní kompetence žáků. Práce je rozdělena na několik částí. V první, teoretické části jsou zmíněny metody výuky cizích jazyků, interkulturní přístup a rozvoj interkulturní kompetence, dále německé reálie, také školní výlet a exkurze jako možnosti výuky reálií a v neposlední řadě i Holocaust a koncentrační tábor Osvětim. Druhá, praktická část je věnována výzkumu, který je zaměřen jak na znalosti a postoje žáků, které k této problematice zaujímají, tak i na následné srovnání, jak se tyto znalosti a postoje žáků změnily po absolvování školního výletu a exkurze v Osvětimi.
