Information society and influnce of information technology on V4 countries

Abstract:

Tato práce vysvětluje pojem informační společnost, informace a informační technologie. Dále pak popisuje historii informačních a komunikačních technologiích (ICT). Analyzuje vliv ICT na nezaměstnanost v mezinárodním kontextu s důrazem na státy Visegrádské čtyřky. Práce shromažďuje informace o vlivu ICT na ekonomiku v mikroekonomické a makroekonomické sféře a zjišťuje důsledky pro nezaměstnanost. Jelikož ICT má pozitivní vliv na produktivitu práce a ekonomický růst, tak je důsledkem snižující se nezaměstnanost. Práce obsahuje empirický výzkum z panelových dat čtyř států (Česká republika, Polsko, Maďarsko a Slovensko) za roky 2010 až 2015 a zkoumá vliv ICT investic společně s komplementárními vlivy na míru nezaměstnanosti a také vliv příspěvku ICT sektoru k HDP a komplementárního vlivu na míru nezaměstnanosti. Na základě výsledků empirického výzkumu byl zjištěn vliv ICT u některých ze zkoumaných států. Jelikož není splněn předpoklad normality a v reálném světě působí na nezaměstnanost mnohé další faktory, tak výsledky analýzy touto metodou nemusí být úplně směrodatné.

Abstract:

This work explains the concept of information society, information and information technology. It also describes the history of information and communication technologies (ICT). It analyzes the impact of ICT on unemployment in an international context with and emphasis on states in Visegrád group. The work gathers information of the impact of ICT on the economy in the microeconomic and macroenomic spheres and identifies the implication for unemployment. Since ICT has a positive impact on labour productivity and economic growth, it is the result of falling unemployment. The work contains empirical research from four countries´ panel data (Czech republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia) for the years 2010 to 2015 and examines the impact of ICT investments together with the complementary effects on the unemployment rate as well as he impact of ICT sector contribution on GPD and complementary impact on unemployment rate. Based on the results of empirical research, the impact of ICT has been identified in some of the countires surveyed. Since the assumpiton of normality is not fulfilled and many other factors affect the unemployment in the real world, the results of this analysis may not be entirely conclusive.
