Analysis of the applicability of Generation Y in the labor market

Abstract:

Cílem je zjistit jaká je uplatnitelnost generace Y na současném trhu práce v kladenském okrese. Teoretická část pojednává o hypotéze generačních teorií a snaží se charakterizovat vlastnosti generace a ovlivňující události, které formují členy české generace Y. Je zde vymezený pracovní trh a specifika personálního řízení, která získávají stále větší rozsah působnosti mezi zaměstnavateli. Praktická část vymezuje oblast vlastního výzkumu, tedy okres Kladno a shrnuje data již provedených průzkumů na téma generace Y. Vlastní dotazníkové šetření, se zaměřuje na znalost generační teorie, zkušenosti s pracovním trhem a požadavky na zaměstnavatele v kladenském okrese. Používané techniky jsou analýza dokumentů, studium odborné literatury a použitou technikou kvantitativního výzkumu je dotazník. Z výsledků dotazníkového šetření je zjištěno, zda teorie odpovídá praxi a jaké požadavky mají na své či potenciální zaměstnavatele zástupci generace Y.

Abstract:

The objective is to find out what is the applicability of Generation Y in the labor market in the Kladno district. The theoretical part deals with the theory and hypothesis of Generation Y and seeks to characterize the properties of generation and influencing events that shape the Czech members of Generation Y. Along with a defined labor market there are also specifics of personnel management, which are increasingly gaining the scope of the employer. The practical part defines research area, that means a district of Kladno, and summarizes data from collected surveys on the topic of Generation Y. The actual survey focuses on knowledge of generation theory, experiences with labor market and demands of the employers for their future employees in the Kladno district. The used techniques include document analysis, study of literature and also technique of quantitative research , specifically questionnaire. From the results of the survey should be evident if theory coreresponds with practice, and what are the requirements for Generation Y from their employers.
