Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou odsouzených k nepodmíněnému trestu odnětí svobody na doživotí. Práci tvoří teoretická a praktická část, v úvodních kapitolách teoretické části se čtenář seznámí s problematikou penologie a penitenciaristiky, povinností Vězeňské služby. Trestem jako takovým a s tím, jaký účel a funkci plní ve společnosti. Následuje kapitola o historii doživotního trestu od starověku až po současnost. Dále kapitola vysvětlí pravidla odnětí svobody na doživotí v České republice a porovná s vybranými evropskými zeměmi. Následující kapitoly této části jsou věnovány programu zacházení s odsouzenými k odnětí svobody a jeho individualizaci a popíše hlavní aktivity, které odsouzení musí plnit během výkonu jejich trestu. Ke sběru dat byla použita technika dotazníkového šetření, pomocí kterého bylo zjišťováno, jakých životních hodnot si vězni ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody váží nejvíce. Cílem práce je zjistit odpovědi na výzkumné otázky a dodat doporučení ke zlepšení kvality života ve vězení.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the issue of convicts sentenced to life imprisonment. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part, in the introductory chapters of the theoretical part, the reader gets acquainted with penology and pentitentiary problematic. Punishment as such and what purpose and function they perform in society. History of life sentence from ancient times to the present. It also explains the rules of life imprisonment in the Czech Republic and compares them with selected European countries The following chapters of this section are devoted to the program of treatment of prisoners and their individualization, and describe the main activities that convicts must perform during their sentence. A survey method was used to collect data, which was used to find out what values are most important for prisoners serving a custodial sentence. The aim of this research is to find out the answers and to provide recommendations for improving the prison’s quality of life.
