Design of information system in UML for elementary school based on research

Abstract:

Moderní svět nemůžeme řídit bez software. Národní infrastruktury, jako úřady a školy jsou kontrolovány pomocí počítačových systémů. Většina elektronických zařízení obsahuje počítač a kontrolní software. Průmyslová výroba a distribuce je kompletně počítačová, tak jako finanční systémy. Zábavní průmysl jako hudba, počítačové hry, filmy, a televizní vysílaní je výpočetně velmi náročný. Proto jsou informační systémy a jiný software esenciální k fungování národních a soukromých institucí. Úkolem této bakalářské práce je navrhnout informační systém pro základní školy na základě výzkumu. Práce se rozděluje na tři části a to na teoretickou, výzkumnou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na informační systémy jako celek. Vymezuje pojem, určuje rozdělení druhů, popisuje školní informační systémy a jejich ochranu v legislativě. Nejvýznamnější část této práce je výzkumná část. Úkolem výzkumu bylo zjistit, jakou funkcionalitu by měl mít navrhovaný informační systém. Tato část obsahuje popis použitých metod, jak probíhal sběr dat a následné vyhodnocení výsledků, které se promítlo do samotného návrhu. Na konci kapitoly je Návrhová část potom obsahuje návrh informačního systému provedený v UML. Dále tato část zachycuje funkcionalitu a hranice systému pomocí diagramu případu užití a dále ji popisuje pomocí textové specifikace a strukturu systému pomocí entitně relačního diagramu.

Abstract:

We can not manage modern world without software. National infrastructure, such as offices and schools are controlled by computer systems. Most electronic devides include computer and control software. Industrial production and distribution is completely computerized, like financial systems. The entertainment industry such as music, computer games, movies, and television is computationally very demanding. Therefore, information systems and other software are essential to the functioning of national and private institutions. The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design an information system for elementary schools based on research. The work is divided into three parts, namely the theoretical, research and practical. The theoretical part focuses on information systems as a whole. It defines the concept, determines the division species, describes the school information systems and their protection in legislation. The main part of this text is the research. The most important task of the research was to find out what funkcionality the design of the new information system has to have. This part consists of the description of used methods, how the research went on, interpretation of the data and the evaluation of result, as it was used for the design. Design of the information system has been realized in UML and it is included in design part of this text. This part also holds funkcionality and borderlines of the system catched in use-case. The information system is also described by text specification and ERD.
