Taboo topics in senior care facilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tabuizovanými tématy v zařízeních pro seniory. Cílem práce je popsat a odhalit témata, která jsou v zařízení pro seniory tabuizovaná. Zjištění současného stavu o těchto tématech v zařízení a o způsobech vypořádání se s tématy. A vymezit možnosti řešení v rámci odborných publikací. Teoretické ukotvení vychází z celospolečensky významných tabu, z jejich překračování a z potencionálních tabu vycházejících z ústavní péče, mýtů a stereotypů o stáří. Tabu, která se v bakalářské práci objeví - smrt a sexualita jsou fenomény nejen dnešní doby a nalezneme pro ně teoretická stanoviska a podklady.

Abstract:

This theis is focused on the taboos of senior care institutions. The intention is to name and describe the topics that are taboo for aforementioned institutions as ell as coverning the current situation of those topics, ways of dealing with them and suggest possible solutions from the scientific publications. Theory is derived from todays societys taboos and their breaking methods along with the possible problems originating from the institutionalised care. Problems in this theis mortality and sexuality - are phenomenons not only of our age and thus some but not many theoretical works and materials can be found dealing with it.
