The situation of the Roma erhnic minority in the field of social housing.

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je situace etnické menšiny Romů v oblasti sociálního bydlení. Bakalářská práce pojednává o vzrůstajících problémech romské etnické menšiny v oblasti sociálního bydlení, diskriminace a sociálního vyloučení. Cílem teoretické části práce je popsat základní teoretické pojmy, se kterými se setkáme v oblasti práce s romskou menšinou se zaměřením na oblast bydlení. Ve výzkumném šetření, pak budeme formou dotazníku zjišťovat, s jakými negativními reakcemi od společnosti se příslušníci romské menšiny setkávají při hledaní bydlení na území města Ostravy. V teoretické části bakalářské práce, jsou popsány pojmy jako, romská menšina, etnická menšina, sociální bydlení. Zabývá se problematikou bydlení a diskriminace v oblasti bydlení. Dále zde popisuje historii romské menšiny, se zaměřením na situaci Romů v České republice s vysvětlením pojmů jako je sociální vyloučení, segregace, holobyty, ghetta a vytěsňování. Závěr teoretické části se věnuje problematice diskriminace Romů v oblasti sociálního bydlení. Výzkumná část práce, byla realizována pomocí kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření, ve kterém byly zjišťovány negativní jevy od společnosti, se kterými se Romové setkávají při hledání bydlení. Cílem výzkumné části práce je zjistit, s jakými předsudky od společnosti se setkávají Romové žijící na území města Ostravy při získání bydlení.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the situation of the ethnic minority of Roma in the area of social housing. The bachelor thesis deals with the growing problems of the Roma ethnic minority in the area of social housing, discrimination and social exclusion. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to describe the basic theoretical terms that we will encounter in the area of work with the Roma minority with a focus on housing. In the research survey, we will then use a questionnaire to find out what negative reactions from society members of the Romani minority encounter when looking for housing in the city of Ostrava. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, terms such as Roma minority, ethnic minority, social housing are described. He deals with the issue of housing and discrimination in housing. It also describes the history of the Roma minority, focusing on the situation of Roma in the Czech Republic with an explanation of concepts such as social exclusion, segregation, holobyty, ghettos and displacement. The conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the issue of discrimination against Romani people in the area of social housing. The research part of the thesis was carried out using a quantitative questionnaire survey in which negative phenomena from society that Roma encounter when looking for housing were identified. The aim of the research part of the thesis is to find out what prejudices Romani people living in the city of Ostrava encounter when obtaining housing.
