Quality of care for children with mental handicap/disability

Abstract:

Práce se pokouší na základě vymezení základních teoretických pojmů a východisek souvisejících s vybranou problematikou zhodnotit rozsah péče o děti s mentálním handicapem a v konkrétně zvoleném zařízení Denního stacionáře Havířov také kvalitu poskytované péče z pohledu rodičů dětí v cílové skupině. Záměrem je zjištění současného stavu v oblasti poskytování vybrané oblasti péče zejména prostřednictvím sociálních služeb. Použitými technikami jsou pak především shromáždění a prostudování teoretických informací a dále i analýza dat získaných ze strukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly vedeny s rodiči dětí s mentálním handicapem. Scénáře k rozhovorům byly vytvořeny na základě zásadních kritérií vybraných standardů kvality sociálních služeb, s ohledem na možnosti a schopnosti rodičů tyto standardy zhodnotit.

Abstract:

This work attempts to define the basic concepts and theoretical bases of selected issues related to assess the extent of care for children with mental handicap, and specifically selected device Havirov day care, the quality of care from the perspective of parents of children in the target group. The aim is to determine the current status in the provision of selected areas of care, in particular through social services. The techniques are mainly the gathering and studying information theory and an analysis of data obtained from structured interviews that were conducted with parents of children with mental disabilities. Scenarios were developed for interviews based on fundamental criteria selected quality standards with regard to the skill and ability of parents to assess these standards.
