Conflict in Chechnya

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou nejznámějšího a zároveň nejsložitějšího konfliktu na severním Kavkaze a následujícím obdobím postkonfliktní rekonstrukce. Teoretická část práce se zaobírá definicemi a interpretací pojmů v oblasti řešení konfliktů v mezinárodních vztazích. V empirické části se práce zaměřuje na významné mezníky historického vývoje, na problematiku rusko-čečenských vztahů po rozpadu SSSR, přístup mezinárodního společenství a v neposlední řadě na postkonfliktní rekonstrukci. Postkonfliktní rekonstrukce je sestavena na základě čtyř tematických oblastí: bezpečnost, spravedlnost a usmíření, sociální a ekonomický blahobyt, vládnutí a politická účast. Práce je vypracována metodou rozboru procesu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyses the most famous and also the most complicated conflict in the North Caucasus and the following post-conflict reconstruction. The theoretical part deals with definitions and interpretations of concepts in the field of conflict resolution in international relations. In the empirical part the thesis focuses on the important milestones of historical development, issues of Russian-Chechen relations after the collapse of the USSR, the international community?s attitude and, ultimately, for post-conflict reconstruction. The post-conflict reconstruction is compiled from four distinct pillars: security, justice and reconciliation, social and economic well-being, governance and participation. The thesis is worked up by the analysis process.
