Elements of 'drama in education' as a motivational factor in the teaching of German in secondary education I at Czech elementary schools

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis titled “Elements of 'drama in education' as a motivational factor in the teaching of German in secondary education I at Czech elementary schools“deals with utilising various drama-pedagogic activities in education of German language. The purpose of this thesis is an establishment, whether, why and under what conditions and circumstances are these activities influencing children in their classwork. Thesis is well-arranged divided into two parts - theoretical and experiential part. In the theoretical part I try to describe and outline topics such as education of foreign languages in the Czech Republic, utilising drama-pedagogy in the classwork, theory and sorts of motivation in education system and in the end the whole interconnection of all these fields as a helping element in the education of German language at primary schools. Experiential part contains research work realized with children at a primary school in Brno, its data processing and data evaluation. As attachment I attach all elaborated activities, which were done by and with children and also an interview and survey with children that I am using in an evaluation of the final research work.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem „Dramatické prvky jako motivační prostředek ve výuce německého jazyka na druhém stupni základní školy ČR“ pojednává o využití různorodých drama pedagogických aktivit ve výuce německého jazyka. Cílem této práce je zjištění, jakým způsobem a proč tyto aktivity žáky ve výuce motivují. Práce je přehledně rozdělena do teoretické a empirické části. V teoretické části se snažím nastínit problematiku výuky cizích jazyků v České republice, využití drama pedagogiky ve vyučování, teorii a druhy motivace, a celkové provázání a spojení těchto okruhů ve výuce německého jazyka na základní škole. Empirická část obsahuje výzkum realizovaný se žáky základní školy, jeho zpracování a následné vyhodnocení. V přílohách přikládám rozpracované aktivity, které byly se žáky realizovány a interview, ze kterého vycházím při vyhodnocení celkového výzkumu.
