Students of Masaryk gymnasium in Vsetín and their reading strategies (Reader s of free time magazines)

Abstract:

Prezentovaná práce se zabývá čtenářskými strategiemi dospívajících čtenářek a čtenářů volnočasových magazínů. Pro předkládaný výzkum jsme zvolili jako cílovou populaci studentky a studenty Masarykova gymnázia ve Vsetíně, z nichž jsme konstruovali výběrový soubor o 182 respondentech, kteří se zúčastnili dotazníkového šetření. V první části této práce uvádíme teoretická východiska, kterými se snažíme popsat především proces socializace (teorie sociálního učení, teorie vzorů) a zároveň formování identity dospívajících z psychologického hlediska. V analytické části pak prezentujeme výsledky týkající se celkové mediální konzumace respondentů, jejich obsahových a grafických preferencí. Druhou hlavní oblastí analytické části je pokus popsat proces identifikace respondentů s mediálními osobnostmi. Rovněž se pokoušíme analyzovat vztah mezi procesem dospívání a četbou volnočasových magazínů, které na základě našich zjištění uspokojují určité potřeby vázající se k spefickým vývojovým úkolům období dospívání.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the reading strategies of adolescent readers of free time magazines. We have chosen students of Masaryk gymnasium in Vsetín as the final population and have chosen 182 of them to fill our questionnaire. In the first part of this thesis, teoretical approaches to the subject are presented. We try to describe the socialization process and the psychological approach to the process of the identity construction. In the analytical part of this thesis, the results and findings of our research are presented. We bring out information about the informants´ media consumption and about their reader´s preferences in the analytical part of the thesis. We also try to define the process of identification of the informants with the celebrites. We also try to analyze the connection of the process of adolescence and the reading of free time magazines.
